After a successful 25-year career in corporate sales for multi-billion-dollar international corporations, I transitioned from regional sales to the fast-paced world of Manhattan real estate in 1992.
While working for one of Manhattan’s largest brokerages, I quickly learned that their primary advantage was simply purchasing mass advertising. As the market accelerated, properties began selling long before those massive ad campaigns could even be published, and their supposed market advantage vanished. I distinctly remember glossy marketing books being delivered to the new owners a full month after closing.
